Rain Country Grey Pearl Bocce Blend - Supersack Per Ton
Price Per 2,000 Pounds Shipped Bulk In Full Truck Load Bulk In California and Other Locations
1 Ton Covers 100 to 150 Square Feet
Recreational use of an Italian Bocce Ball Court provides an excellent way to spend afternoons and evenings having backyard fun with family and friends.
The Grey Blended Rain Country blend is made up of our Sierra Silver Grey Decomposed Granite 1/4" Minus blended with premium quality marine composted crushed oyster shell flour and washed concrete sand. We use a higher percentage of oyster shells in this blend than in our Dry Climate Blends.
This produces a good draining but still results in the typical traditional Italian bocce ball court. This mixture is installed over a layer of standard 3/8" minus decomposed granite to a depth of 1-1/2 to 3 inches, which equals 1 ton of blended material per 100 to 150 square feet.
The role that oyster flour plays in bocce court surface mixtures is to keep the decomposed granite from becoming extremely hard and unworkable for grooming. The oyster flour keeps the decomposed granite from completely binding together.
Through the normal course of play; ruts, troughs, and material displacement takes place. Our decomposed granite oyster flour blend is in the traditional Italian bocce ball court surface formula. When groomed out it makes a smooth solid surface to play on.
We are also able to ship all of the other materials needed for installation and maintenance to you.
Installation and maintenance services are available.
Our staff is available with free rental tools to assist you or your contractor with an installation.
Oyster Shell Flour
Oyster shell flour is applied over the top of the finished court surface at the rate of 1/4 to 1/2 pound per square foot resulting in a thin layer of finely crushed oyster shell flour for a very smooth playing surface. However, this should not be done during periods of seasonal rainfall since it will be quickly washed into the oyster shell and decomposed granite mixture.
- Rock Material Prices Per Pound, Per Ton, and Per Cubic Yard
In most cases, we charge by the ton and we have the receipts from the scale house at the quarry to show upon request. Materials sold by the yard tend to have very inaccurate amounts in the trucks. The amount loaded depends on the size of the loader bucket, how well the material was scooped up, and who was supervising the loading of the truck. Scale House totals don't lie, so why take a chance on losing money and time with how many square feet, scoops, skips, and or dumps were made in loading the truck? Just get it weighed out. Architects, public agencies, contractors, and owner-builders requiring a competitive bid for the materials and transport costs should E-mail us with material specifications, the amount and date needed, and the buyer's contact information. Bocce Ball Materials, Decomposed Granite, Sand, Road Base and Gravel Material Transport Truck and Transfer 10 to 25 tons End-dumps from 22 to 25 tons Bottom Dumps 25 tons Side Dumps 12 to 25 tons Super-10's from 8 to 17 tons Flatbeds with SuperEarth-sacks and palleted material 1 to 24 tons

Features
- Bocce Ball Court Pro Oyster Flour & Decomposed Granite Blends
- We offer two different Bocce Ball Court Oyster flour Blends, a dry climate (DC) and a wet climate (WC). The Bocce Court Pro Bocce Ball Court Oyster flour Blend materials are ideal for the climates they are mixed for. While the materials are at different ratios the application rates are the same
Wet Climate Blend The Bocce Ball Court Oyster flour Blend WC is ideal for regular rainfall climates such as most northern portions of California and the Pacific Northwest, the Upper Midwest, and other regions where regular to heavy rainfall requires a light blend that will not become hard and compacted. The Wet Climate blend is slightly more expensive since it contains a high percentage of crushed oyster shells to lessen compaction that would otherwise result from regular or heavy periods of rainfall. - Dry Climate Blend
The Bocce Ball Court Oystershell Blend DC is ideal for regular rainfall climates like most of Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, and West Texas. The Dry Climate blend is less expensive since a lower amount of crushed oyster shell is required to maintain desirable court conditions. - Grey Pearl Bocce Blend Wet Climate:
One Ton Bocce Court Spread Covers: 150 square feet 1-1/2" deep - Likely to thin out over 12 to 24 months of play. 100 square feet 2-1/2" deep. Very good coverage. 90 square feet 3" deep. Ideal long-term coverage.
One Square Yard Bocce Court Spread Covers: 175 square feet 1-1/2" deep - Likely to thin out over 12 to 24 months of play. 125 square feet 2-1/2" deep - Very good coverage. 110 square feet 3" deep - Ideal long-term coverage.
Bocce Court Silver Surface Dry Climate Mix is made up of Sierra Silver Decomposed Granite material with apx. 25% crushed naturally marine composted oyster shell. The shell is in the form of thin 3⁄8” wide thin flakes with approximately 20% fines or “oyster shell flour” and washed concrete sand for added drainage. Material is similar to the texture of fish scales not shell pebbles. Bocce courts require regular grooming of the surface with a push broom or tennis court broom and a large landscape rake. The role that oyster shell plays in bocce court surface mixtures is to keep the decomposed granite from becoming extremely hard and unworkable for grooming. The oyster shell flakes keep the decomposed granite from completely binding together. Through the normal course of play; ruts, troughs, and material displacement takes place. Our decomposed granite oyster shell blend is in traditional Italian bocce ball court surface formula. When groomed out it makes a smooth solid surface to play on. When play is completed it makes for an easy surface to quickly renovate.
We are often asked if oyster shells or oyster flour will damage lawns or plants near the playing court. To that, we answer, this material is safe for use around plants and is the key ingredient in organic farming. A high-quality soil conditioner that consists of 96% calcium carbonate and many micro-nutrients, Oyster Shell provides a long-lasting, steady release of nutrients to help regulate pH levels, improve fertilizer uptake, promote healthy cellular structure and enhance soil tilth.
